Susan is an exchange student from
England. She stays at my house. And
she will live with us for a whole
week. It is the first time for us to
have a guest from a foreign country.
Today my mother and I will prepare a
typical Chinese dinner especially
for Susan. We will teach Susan how
to make
jiaozi. We will make
the stuffing with meat, eggs and Chinese cabbage. We'll also cook several other
Chinese dishes.
"It always takes me some
courage to try new dishes, I'm afraid,"
Susan says. But she is brave enough to try all the dishes. As a matter
of fact, she enjoys Chinese food
very much. And she likes jiaozi best of all. Susan
shares a lot with me. We will talk a lot in both Chinese and English, or,
perhaps, with the help of gestures. I'm sure we could understand each other,
though we have different
cultures and languages.
