Carl: |
Hey, how's it going, Larry?
Do you feel like having some company? |
Larry: |
Sure, come on in. You always cheer me up. |
Carl: |
I'm so sorry about the accident. I wish there were
something more I could do for you. You know, we missed
you in English class today. |
Larry: |
That's what worries me. I'm going to miss some important
classes over the next few days. And, with my right arm
being broken, I don't know how I'll write the assignments
that are due this week. |
Carl: |
Don't worry. I tape-recorded the lectures so you can
listen to them when you get a chance. I'll also talk
to the professor about giving you an additional week
to get your assignments turned in. |
Larry: |
Thanks. You're a real pal. |
Carl: |
Hey, what are friends for? Besides, you have to concentrate
on getting well for your date on Friday night. |
Larry: |
Yeah, how about that? Do you think she's
sorry we have a date? |
Carl: |
No. She told me herself that she'd been hoping to
meet you. |
Larry: |
Well, maybe something good will come from all of this
after all! |
