In this unit, you will learn how to talk about
leisure time activities, particularly with reference to your
interests; you will also learn how to obtain or understand
similar information from others, and how to describe events such
as international conference.

In this unit, you will learn things related to your
university life, such as examination and career development;
you will also learn how to engage in discussions on these
matters and account for your views.
Lead-in for Unit 6:
In this unit, you will learn how to talk about worries and
offer help, how to talk about body care, mechanic problems,
weight, bad habits, etc., and how to describe illness or
discomfort to doctors; and you will also learn how to exchange
information and views on these matters and account for your
views.
Lead-in for Unit 7:
In this unit, you will learn how to talk about or describe
sports-events, for example, football match, boat rowing race
and sports meet, how to solve some daily problems and how to talk about hobbies, such as
going to a music concert and singing karaoke; you will also
learn how to obtain or understand similar information from
others, and how to exchange and discuss views on these matters.
Lead-in for Unit 8:
In this unit, you will learn how to state personal
relations, and how to deal with matters of work or social
affairs, such as being an efficient secretary, leaving or taking
a message, and managing daily routine work in the office; you
will also learn how to exchange information and views on these
matters with others, and how to engage in discussion and account
for your views.

9:
In this unit, you will learn how to require / get or give
information, such as asking for some advice at a travel agency,
understanding railroad announcement and travel advertisement,
and getting travel information; you will also learn how to
exchange information and views on these matters with others, and
how to engage in discussion and account for your views.
Lead-in for Unit 10:
In this unit, you will learn how to use shopping-facilities
like department stores to make shopping easier. you will learn
how to talk about shopping plan,
how to seek help
from the shop assistant, how to talk about prices and pay for
the things
you've bought; learners will learn how to relate or exchange
information and views on these matters with others. In this unit
you will learn about a salesgirl's working experience at a pet shop, suggestions on
how to save money, and an experience in a street market; learners
will also learn how to engage in discussion on these subjects and account
for your views.
Lead-in for Unit
11:
In this unit, you will learn how to write a resume, how to
give information about personal data, schooling, work
experience, hobbies and prospects when looking for jobs or
taking a job interview; learners will learn how to obtain and
understand similar information from others, and how to exchange
and discuss views on these matters.
Lead-in for Unit 12:
In this unit, you will learn how to give thanks and
congratulations, such as showing gratitude to teachers, friends,
and host families, how to write a thank-you letter, how to bid
farewell to people; you will also learn how to exchange
information and views on these matters with others, and how to
