Foreword

  A newspaper usually has an index to make information easy to find. Readers can always find the index on the front page.
  The index lists the newspaper’s contents in sections. If you want to read a specific piece of information, you can quickly “jump” to the section or the page where the information is located with the help of the index, thus saving lots of your time.

  为便于读者找到所需信息,报纸通常提供一个索引。索引通常登在报纸的首页。
索引列出报纸内容的栏目。如需阅读某一条特定信息,读者可通过索引的帮助,迅速地”跳”到信息所在的栏目或页,从而节省大量的时间。
